Glenn Dudley was born and raised in Punchbowl and attended Punchbowl Boys High School. After school he assisted his father in the family business before enrolling at Sydney University to study economics.
A varied career in accountancy and financial management led to a number of senior management roles with major Australian industries. Having also developed an interest in rural industries while at university, Glenn was keen to experience rural life and he and his wife Jennifer, acquired a property at Robertson in the Southern Highlands of NSW, where they bred and raised Black Angus cattle. He has also served with many diverse community organisations, such as the Business Council of Australia, the Bowral Cooperative and the Sydney University Electrical Engineering Foundation.
Professional work with RAS Councillor and legal advisor Adrian Howie, led to an invitation to join the RAS Council in 1998, where he then served on many committees including Domestic Animals, Cattle Disciplinary and Youth Affairs, before being elected President in 2008.
Glenn was re-elected for a second term as President in 2011 before resigning from that role in 2014. He was elected as an Honorary Councillor in 2017 and also served as Vice-Patron from 2017 to 2023.
